In Mid-Penn Commonwealth action, Central Dauphin (13-1-1) used a second half rally to secure a 3-0 victory over State College (8-5-1). The Little Lions held the Rams scoreless in the first half, but couldn’t keep the Rams offense stifled for the entire contest.
Ethan Flickinger, John Axtman, and Ryan Barnes each tallied one goal for the Rams. Axtman and teammate Luke Johnson accounted for one assist apiece in the divisional win.
Cumberland Valley 4, Carlisle 0
Cumberland Valley (13-2) had no problems dispatching divisional foe Carlisle (2-12-1) as the Eagles earned a 4-0 shutout Monday afternoon.
Sam Lundblad kicked things off with back-to-back first half goals that handed the Eagles an early lead. Eric Leach and Mara Dona each added one second half goal to seal the win.
Northern York 3, Boiling Springs 1
Northern York (12-3-1) posted three goals in the span of 12 minutes of game-time in the first half to build a lead that they wouldn’t squander en route to a 3-1 victory over Boiling Springs (9-5).
Dan French, Andrew Brown, and Malachi Reid posted back-to-back-to-back goals to spark the Polar Bear rally. Brady Olsen put the Bubblers on the board late in the second half, but the comeback effort ultimately fell short.
Camp Hill 2, West Perry 0
Erik Blanton and Nick Lamay each posted a goal in Camp Hill’s (8-5-2) 2-0 upset victory over West Perry (11-3-1) Monday afternoon.
London Harper stopped all six shots that he faced to pitch the shutout in net.
Shippensburg 9, James Buchanan 1
Shippensburg (9-6-1) made quick work of Mid-Penn Colonial opponent James Buchanan in a 9-1 blowout.
Travis Bigham and Samuel Orseno led the Greyhounds with two goals apiece. Harun Pacaver, Jacob Cramer, Colby Miller, Dominic Frontino, and Braiden Gettel each chipped in one goal.
Trinity 2, East Pennsboro 0
Zach Sherr and Devan Drendall paced the Trinity (8-4-1) offense with two goals apiece as the Shamrocks blanked East Penn (7-6-3) , 2-0.
Sherr and Drendall each chipped in one assist as well, for good measure.
Bishop McDevitt 3, Milton Hershey 0
Bishop McDevitt (13-0-2) remained undefeated with a 3-0 win over Mid-Penn Capital divisional opponent Milton Hershey (2-15).
Leo Posavec, Nick Hamilton, and Fran Cangliosi all got on the score sheet once for the Crusaders.
Cedar Cliff 1, Governor Mifflin 0
Ian Malamud’s goal late in the second half proved to be the decisive tally that led Cedar Cliff (6-10) past Governor Mifflin, 1-0.
Malamud scored his unassisted tally at the 77:25 mark.

GIRLS SOCCER
Chambersburg 2, Red Land 1 (2OT)
Brooke Huntsman scored the equalizer and the dramatic game-winner in double overtime as Chambersburg (10-5) battled to a 2-1 win and fended off Red Land’s (4-10-1) upset bid.
After Maura Carey’s unassisted goal put the Patriots on top in the first half, Huntsman knotted up the contest in the 42nd minute courtesy of a Layne Kimble assist. Aubrey Payne earned the assist on Huntsman’s decisive goal that came in the 96th minute in the second overtime.
Camp Hill 2, West Perry 0
Camp Hill (14-4) kept its perfect campaign rolling with a 2-0 Mid-Penn Capital win over West Perry (8-6-1).
Isabelle Hoffer and Sarah Jones each found the back of the net for the Lions.
Mechanicsburg 4, CD East 0
Halle Engle netted a pair of goals to lead Mechanicsburg (12-3) to a 4-0 shutout against CD East (2-13) Monday afternoon.
Teammates Elena Hinkson and Jenna Skurcenski chipped in a goal apiece, in their own rites. Ari Frey and Alicia Elder combined for the shutout in net.
Carlisle 2, Cumberland Valley 0
Carlisle (10-5-1) handed Cumberland Valley (13-2-1) its first divisional loss of the season Monday as the Thundering Herd pulled off the 2-0 upset. The Eagles fell to 9-1-1 in Mid-Penn Commonwealth action.
Alyssa Myers scored a pair of goals late in the second half to lift the Herd to victory. Myers found the back of the net at 52:26 and 72:15. Madalyn Brymesser stopped all six shuts that she faced between the posts.
Harrisburg Christian School 7, Christian School of York 1
Hannah Costa’s huge, six-goal performance propelled Harrisburg Christian to a comfortable, 7-1 victory Monday against Christian School of York.
Jenna Gwinn chipped in a goal and one assist in the win. For Christian School of York, Kayleigh Rhine tallied the squad’s lone goal.

FIELD HOCKEY
Shippensburg 3, Big Spring 1
Two early goals gave Shippensburg (8-3-3) a lead that they would hold until the end of regulation in a 3-1 victory for the Greyhounds.
Emily Gustafson and Brea Kelso scored back-to-back goals less than two minutes into the first half to put the Greyhounds ahead. Big Spring’s (3-11-1) Zoe Koser put the Bulldogs on the board with an unassisted tally less than four minutes before halftime. Gracie Johnson found the back of the net less than a minute into the second half to give the Greyhounds all of the insurance that they would need.
Palmyra 3, Hershey 1
Skyler Dise, Alexa Derr, and Lauren Wadas each tallied goals as Palmyra (14-3) picked up a 3-1 win over Mid-Penn Keystone rival Hershey (11-5).
Anna Miller accounted for two assists for the Cougars, respectively.
Carlisle 1, State College 0
Chloe Overmiller broke a scoreless stalemate in the second half to hand Carlisle (2-14) a 1-0 win against State College (5-9).
Mackenzie Parthemore assisted on Overmiller’s decisive goal. Carlisle’s Olivia Renault was stout in goal, stopping all 10 shots she faced to pick up the shutout.
