“The three captains, we’ve been best friends since freshman year,” Gutierrez said. “Obviously I didn’t play varsity my freshman year, but I was really attached to the program from the very beginning. Us being so close together, and us being such close friends brought everyone together. I think our friendship has helped push us this far, and our chemistry on the field has given us clear results.”
