BEA girl's soccer defeats Moshannon Valley,7-1 | News, Sports, Jobs - Lock Haven Express

The Bald Eagle Area girls soccer team defeated Moshannon Valley on Saturday, 7-1.

Addison Proctor and Zoey McHenry each scored a pair of goals. Grace Wagner, Mara Hockenberry and Falen McHenry each added another score. BEA out-shot MV, 19-5, and Rachael Veneziano made four saves.

“I thought we came out with intensity today and did really well on our set pieces,” BEA coach Jared Moore said. “Zoey scored on a really well struck free kick and Addie score a nice goal off of a corner by Emily. Rachel saved a great penalty kick in the second half as well. Our offense was really clicking and our defense was solid as well, making several key stops late in the game. Just a great-team effort by the girls today.”

BEA (6-0) returns Tuesday with an away game against Tyrone.
