Easthampton’s Cristina Negon flicked a goal into the net 10 minutes into the second half from a corner kick, and the Williston Northampton girls soccer team beat Loomis Chaffee 1-0 on Saturday. Selena Negron (Eathampton) stopped 16 shots to keep the clean sheet.

It was just the Wildcats’ second win over Loomis in the past 25 years.

Football

Salisbury 34, Williston 20 — Henri Bourque threw two touchdowns and ran for another in a loss Saturday. Junior Laham had eight catches for 139 yards and two touchdowns. Chris Najarian led the Wildcats with 13 tackles.

Boys soccer

Deerfield Academy 4, Williston 2 — Hakeem Morgan and Northampton’s Nick Heafey scored for the Wildcats. Martin Machon added an assist Saturday.

Field hockey

Loomis Chaffee 3, Williston 2 — Aidan Bourbonnais and Louisa Coughlin scored to help the Wildcats rally from a 2-0 deficit on Saturday, but Loomis scored a late winner with three minutes left.

Boys cross country

Williston 34, Salisbury 42; Williston 34, Canterbury 86; Williston 34, Berkshire 109; Williston 34, Suffield 128; Williston 34, Millbrook 140 — Nat Markey placed first individually in 18 minutes, 14 seconds.

Girls cross country

Williston 15, Miss Hall’s 50; Williston 15, Millbrook 50; Williston 18, Canterbury 45; Williston 16, Westover 43 — Florence’s Abigail Touhey placed first in 20:36. Anna Richardson took second overall, as the Wildcats finished the regular season 13-0 on Saturday.

Boys water polo

Loomis Chaffee 11, Williston 6 — Sam Haddad scored four times, while Jack Doscia and Jack Haddad added one goal each Saturday.
