Emily Bannon, junior, center midfielder/striker, Minisink Valley: Bannon scored 11 goals and had seven assists this season. She had two game-winners, both over Warwick.
Rylee Semco, sophomore, goalkeeper, Minisink Valley: Semco had 115 saves and posted five shutouts. She didn’t allow a goal against Warwick in the Section 9 semifinals. She had 25 saves in the last game of the season.
Jacqueline Post, sophomore, center back, Minisink Valley: Post was part of a defense that had eight shutouts this season. She played a significant role in Minisink’s run to a Class A title, culminating in a win over Red Hook.
Kassie Ryder, senior, center midfielder/striker, Minisink Valley: Ryder had 11 goals and three assists this season. She scored two goals in a game against O’Neill and netted both goals in a victory over Red Hook in the sectional finals. In her career, she has scored 40 goals and tallied 25 assists.
Maddie Feller, junior, center midfielder/striker, Valley Central: Feller finished the season with 10 goals and nine assists. She has a competitive spirit that was surpassed by none.
Mikayla Walsh, senior, center midfielder, Warwick: Walsh had two goals and four assists this season. She was instrumental on defense and offense, with athleticism, quality technical ability and a high soccer IQ.
Nicole Iapoce, junior, forward, Highland: Iapoce scored 16 goals and 12 assists this season. She played defense her first three years and transitioned to forward this season. Her speed and agility helped her find the back of the net often.
Gabrielle Mpasiakos, outside back/defender, senior, Monroe-Woodbury: Mpasiakos was part of a state championship defense that allowed seven goals in 21 games. She shut down one of the state’s top forwards in a playoff game against North Rockalnd.
Marissa Key, forward, senior, Monroe-Woodbury: Key scored seven goals and six assists for the two-time Class AA champions. She played outstanding defense, keeping the ball locked in the opponents’ third or half. She had a key assist, no pun intended, in a sectional final against Valley Central.
Kiley Metcalf, outside back, senior, Monroe-Woodbury: Metcalf may be the best thrower in Section 9, with an ability to get the ball into the penalty box to set up a chance for her teammates to score. She is skilled, has a high soccer IQ and plays with high intensity.
Kara Hartley, goalkeeper, senior, James I O’Neill: Hartley keeps threatening players on their toes with her good reflexes and decisive decisions. She helped guide O’Neill to a 14-4-1 record with an 8-0 finish in league play and a repeated sectional title for the first time since 1985-86.
