Two goals from Emilee Hauser help the North girls come away victorious 3-1 and the South boys score four goals in the final 14 minutes to win 5-4. Fort Myers News-Press
In their final time on the field representing their schools, the best senior soccer players in Southwest Florida put on a show at Fort Myers High School on Wednesday night.
Reigning The News-Press Girls Soccer Player of the Year and Arkansas signee Emilee Hauser netted two goals to lead the North to a 3-1 victory and a nine-goal thriller saw the South boys come away with a 5-4 win.
The Red Knight standout put her club ahead in the opening minute and fellow teammate Makenzy Dupree added a goal in the 15th minute to put the North ahead 2-0.
Fort Myers senior and FGCU signee Alyssa Wilson buried a free kick from outside the box in the 33rd minute to pull a goal back for the South, but in the end, Hauser iced the match as she collected a pass from another Red Knight teammate Hailey Turner and lobbed the ball into the back of the net with 14 minutes to go.
In between the two matches, the Mariner boys soccer team was recognized for their 4A state runner-up finish as the Tritons finished with a 25-5-1 record.
The North boys raced out to a 2-0 lead as Cape Coral standouts Jacob Jimenez and Juan Parra scored goals six minutes apart in the first 16 minutes of the match.
Canterbury star senior Patrick Horan scored in the 24th minute to make it 2-1 where the match remained until halftime, but there were plenty more goals still to come.

In the 66th minute, South Fort Myers striker Hudson Gay drew a penalty and struck a strong shot that Cape Coral keeper Dylan Linares sprawled out to save, but Horan was able to poke home the rebound to tie the match.
Three minutes later, Parra put the North back in front taking in a feed from Jimenez and converting his second goal of the match but less than a minute later, Gay got on the end of Canterbury senior Austin Alley's free kick that deflected free in the box to square the match at 3-all.
In the 73rd minute, Horan skied a long ball that bounced high toward the North goal and while on the run, Gay was able to rise highest to head the ball by the keeper and put his team ahead.
Two minutes later, Bishop Verot senior Andre Rocha gave the South a two-goal lead tapping home a rebound in front.
The North drew a goal back in the 78th minute as Mariner's Esteban Orjuela volleyed home a feed from Triton teammate Eddie Reyes, but the clock ran out to put a bow on a soccer season that saw both the Mariner boys and the Estero girls reach Final Fours.
