Boys Soccer: Jays go 1-1 at tourney - Jefferson City News Tribune

BURLINGTON, Iowa — The Jefferson City Jays split a pair of games at the Go 4 the Goal Tournament on Thursday and Friday.

The Jays opened action Thursday with a 2-1 loss in PKs to Glenwood High School from Chatham, Ill. Will Kuster scored the goal for Jefferson City on a header off a corner kick from Ethan Blake.

On Friday, Jefferson City blanked Springfield, Ill., 3-0. Breck McGrail, Blake and Bassil Ahmed scored for the Jays. Kuster, Sam Allen and McGrail were credited with assists.

Jefferson City's scheduled game Saturday against Middleton, Wis., was called off due to weather.

Jefferson City (11-3) will travel Tuesday to Rock Bridge.
